Dive is judged based on body lines and positions. Straight, tight body lines receive higher scores. Loose clothing can obscure body position from judges, lowering a divers score.
While there is no uniform requirements, it is recommended that divers where tight fitting suits and no swim shirts. For boys this would usually mean a speedo or a jammer (similar to bicycle shorts). Girls should wear a 1 piece athletic swimsuit.
